Opening Day (April 2) Highlights
The 2000 Regular Season began way back on Sunday, April 2.

Sunday, April 9th, 16th, 23rd-- Weeks 2-4
Games postponed due to rain .

Sunday April 30, 2000
Finally the weather cooperated. After a league record 3 straight weeks postponed due to wet grounds, softball was once again played.

Sunday, May 7, 2000
Kings Ted Winner tossed a no-hitter against Rue Rue's Raiders. First no-hitter since 5/24/98 when Larry Newman, then of the Kings threw one against the Crown Royals.

Sunday, May 14, 2000
Fields were wet, but playable. Schaefer & Strohminger must have had car problems as only 7 players showed up to face the Kings, resulting in a forfeit. Controversial last out in Attman's/Sky & Sky game 1. Cannons explode for 33 hits against Palmgard.

Games postponed. Consideration will be given to extending the regular season by 2 weeks. See revised schedule from link above.

A great loss was suffered as Sky & Sky's Joe Schapiro collapsed during game 2 and later passed away.

Pro Med sweeps Raiders to move into final playoff position.

Sunday, July 9, 2000
Kings sweep of Cannons moves them into sole possession of 2nd place. Four other teams in hot battle for 4th place.

Sunday, July 16, 2000
Attman's split with Kings to maintain 1 1/2 game lead for 1st place. Next week the Havana Club Cannons play the Kings in a battle for 2nd place.

Attman's extends lead to 2 full games. Cannons move into 2nd place.

Sunday, July 30, 2000
Attman's and Cannons sweep setting up showdown for 1st place next week. Kings clinch 3rd place.

Sunday, August 6, 2000
Attman's defeats Cannons to win Regular Season Championship.
