A light drizzle came along with the start of the day's action. Sky brought one across in the bottom of the 1st and 4th innings to hold a 2-0 lead heading into the 5th. Sky would get out of bases loaded jams in the 1st and 3rd.

Both teams would go scoreless in the 5th as the 2 defenses would hold strong. In the top of 6, The Birds would try to get things going as John Roiy would score on Theo Battle's SF RBI to trail 2-1.

TB pitcher Lenny Fields laced a 2 out RBI double scoring Tony Barner and Jay Walle to give The Birds a 3-2 lead. Sky would bounce back in the bottom half with 3 to regain the lead 5-3 and take the opener with the same count.

Game 2:   Thunderbirds 10 (WP-Harry Kinsey 1-0 )  Sky & Sky Inc. 9 (LP- Brian Mekiliesky 2-2)

The second game began as Thunderbird rookie pitcher Harry Kinsey took the mound and gave up 3 early runs to Sky. In the bottom half, Kevin Menedis (single) and Jay Walle (double) would get on and score on John Roiy's 2 RBI single. After 1, Sky 3 - TB 2.

In the 2nd, Sky would be silent. The Birds, on the other hand, would get 2 as Maurice Scott rocked a 2 out RBI triple scoring Darnell Maxwell and Kinsey. TB 4 - Sky 3.

Sky would regain the lead with 3 in the top of 3 and hold The Birds scoreless in the bottom half. Sky 6 - TB 4.
Both teams went quietly in the 4th but the battle would continue. Sky scored twice in the top of 5 to increase the lead to 8-4. But, the sophomore sluggers would respond with 2 as Menedis scored on Theo Battle's FC and Walle scored on David Woods' SF. Sky 8 - TB 6.

At the top of 6, it looked as Sky would seal the deal with an insurance run to take a 9-6 lead into the 7th. The Birds defense would hold Sky at a standstill and head to the plate for last set of at bats in the bottom of the 7th.

Leadoff batter, Kinsey "blasted" a shot 2 feet in front of the batters box and beat out the throw to 1st and advanced to second on the overthrow. Scott then would single. Menedis brought in Maurice Jamison (PR for Kinsey) on a SF. Walle would single and next Battle would plate Scott with an RBI single. The lead is now Sky 9- TB 8. Woods then would bring in Walle and Battle with a 2 RBI double for a 10-9 win as The Thunderbirds recorded their 1st PMSL walk off win.

Also, congrats to Kinsey for his 1st PMSL win in his debut.
