Northwest Regional Park Field 3:    Umpires- Scott Snyder
Game 1: Northwest Corridor 5 (WP-Howard Goldberg 6-6)  Kings  4 (LP-Mike Herr 11-3) 

NWC built an early 4-0 lead and held on to beat Kings 5-4. 2 RBI 2B's in t-1st by Howard Goldberg and Ryan put NWC ahead. Kings got 1 run back in b-2nd on 2 out RBI 1B by Mike Mittleman. The offenses remained quiet thru the 5th inning as the score remained 4-1. In t-6th, Jon Goldman's 2 out RBI 1B extended NWC lead 5-1.

Kings fought until the end in b-7th. RBI 1B's by Steve Levy and Glenn Savage, along with bases loaded RBI walk to Mike Mittleman cut NWC lead to 5-4. With bases loaded and 1 out, the Kings were unable to bring in any more runs.

Game 2:   Kings 7 (WP-Brad Millison 2-0, Save-Shilo Merwitz 1)  Northwest Corridor 0 (LP-Ted Winner 8-4) 

Brad Millison and Shilo Merwitz threw a combined shutout as the Kings defeated NWC in the nightcap 7-0. Steve Levy, Brad Millison, and Glenn Savage all had 2 RBI's for the Kings.

Kings took advantage of sloppy NWC fielding in t-1st. Kenny Salzman tripled with 1 out. Shilo Merwitz reached on an error with Salzman holding at third. Alan Varhaftik's RBI 1B put Kings on the scoreboard.  Justin Cohen reached on an error to load bases. Steve Levy followed with a 2 RBI 1B and Millison with an RBI 1B. Kings lead was 4-0. Again the offenses went quiet in the middle innings and the score remained unchanged into t-6th. In t-6th, Varhaftik and Cohen singled. Millison hit an RBI SF and Glenn Savage gapped the outfielders for a 2 RBI HR putting Kings lead at 7-0.

Kings game notes:
Koby Sarubin was injured in batting practice and did not play. He was struck in the face with a batted ball and needed stitches in his mouth. He is listed as probable for next week's Playoffs.
Sam Aydukovic (Owings Mills HS 2016) made his Kings/Pikesville Mens' Softball League debut. Aydukovic caught game 2 and singled in game 2 for his first career hit.
Zac Stavish was away and will be away again next Sunday. Jan Katzen was in Tampa to watch the Orioles, but he will return for next Sunday.
The combined shutout pitched in game 2 by Brad Millison and Shilo Merwitz is the first combined shutout in the Kings 27 year history.
By pitching the final 3 innings of game 2, Shilo Merwitz was credited with a save, his 2nd career save.

Northwest Regional Park Field 4:    Umpire- Greg Hopper
Game 1: LOFT 8 (WP-John Reichert 4-8)  Outlaws 2 (LP-Larry Newman 2-12) 

L.O.F.T. came out in game 1 looking to break their almost 2 month losing streak. It did not get off to a great start as they were retired in order to start the top of the 1st inning. L.O.F.T.’s defense though came out and shut down the Outlaws in the bottom of the 1st inning behind the stellar pitching of John Reichert and new catching sensation Kenny Kreyling calling the pitches. The scored remained 0-0 through 3 innings. In the top of the 4th inning L.O.F.T. was able to get on the board behind a RBI single from Logan Malane and a 2 RBI single from Jimmy Engler. The Outlaws got a run of their own in the bottom half of the 4th inning to make the score 3-1 after 4. In the top of the 5th inning L.O.F.T. received a RBI single from Mike Randall and John Reichert, a 2 RBI double from Brad Verbosky and a RBI Sac Fly from Andy Peksa to make the score 8-1. L.O.F.T. held the Outlaws scoreless the next 2 innings. L.O.F.T. took an 8-1 lead into the bottom of the 7th and they were able to keep the Outlaws from mounting any type of rally and won the first game of the doubleheader 8-2.

Game 2:  LOFT 14 (WP-Bob Mallonee 2-7)  Outlaws 5 (LP-Harry Kinsey  4-6) 

In game 2 L.O.F.T. looked to secure the sweep and move into 6th place pending the results of Tuesdays Thunderbirds and Bombers doubleheader. The Outlaws mounted a 2 out rally in the top of the 1st inning and were able to plate 3 runs after SS Andy Peksa was unable to secure a blooper from the Outlaws LCF. L.O.F.T. answered right back though in the bottom of the 1st inning with 3 runs of their own on 3 RBI singles from Dana Anderson, Mike Randall and Andy Peksa. The Outlaws took the lead back with a run in the top of the 2nd inning after LCF Nick Serkes had trouble with a line drive right at him off the bat of William “What’s the Plan” Giles. With the Outlaws leading 4-3 going into the bottom of the 3rd inning, L.O.F.T. was able to load the bases up with 2 outs. Jimmy Engler who was a last minute fill in for L.O.F.T. was able to rip a line drive down the left field line getting past a diving LF. Engler came all the way around the bases for an inside the park grand slam homerun giving L.O.F.T. a 7-4 lead after 3 innings. Bob Mallonee kept dealing on the mound, mixing speeds well and holding the Outlaws scoreless for the next 2 innings. L.O.F.T. was able put 5 more up in the bottom of the 4th inning highlighted by a Brad Verbosky 3 RBI triple giving L.O.F.T. a 12-4 lead through 4 innings. The score remained the same until the 6th inning when the Outlaws got a run to cut it to 12-5, but L.O.F.T. was able to get 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the 6th to take a 14-5 lead. L.O.F.T. was able to shut down the Outlaws in the top of the 7th inning as the game ended when SS Andy Peksa sprinted over to snag a blooper before it could fall in. This victory gave L.O.F.T. the sweep and put them in 6th place pending the results of Tuesday’s doubleheader.
