2015 Pikesville Men's Softball League Standings, Schedule, Highlights and Scores

Week #10  June 14, 2015

Highlights submitted thus far by Kings, Bombers, Outlaws

Northwest Regional Park Field 1:    Umpire- Reggie Grant
Game 1: Nationwide Insurance Bombers 16 (WP-Tzvi Friedman 9-6)  Outlaws 0  (LP-Larry Newman 1-10)  5 Innings

The Bombers got back in the win column by sweeping the Outlaws 16-0 and 14-2. Both games ended after 5 innings. Tzvi Freidman took both victories and Gershon Yakobovitch made his season debut in game 2 and pitched 3 solid innings. The Bombers played great defense all day including a diving catch down the LF line by Yoyo Strauss, a great stab down the 3rd base line by David Flamm who then turned and fired to first to get the Outlaws runner by inches and what might be the play of the year- Gershon in a full sprint on a drive to RCF dove, and completely extended, backhanded a hard smash and caught the ball. A better catch might not be seen all year. The Bombers turned out a full roster and needed this kind of effort because the Outlaws have some great players led by Tony Wiggs , Taz and manager David Woods who all play with a lot of fire, passion and pride.

In game 1 the Bombers were clicking on all cylinders and took game 1, 16-0 in 5 innings.
